Most fruit and vegetables won’t do well at room temperature, and are better off being kept in the fridge. But in the fridge vegetables do often lose their original taste and texture. This can easily be fixed by placing a sponge at the bottom of the fridge drawer. Use a couple different sponges for this, and place them next to each other.
The result of this is that the moisture that was previously absorbed by the fruit and vegetables is now absorbed by the sponge. This way, your fruit and vegetables will stay fresh and crisp much longer! A trick like this can be so easy, but you do have to think of it. Did you know about this trick and do you use it yourself?
