Mayonnaise is much more than just a delicious condiment!

Mayonnaise is one of those condiments most households always have in their fridge. It’s the perfect base for a lot of dressings and a great addition to your sandwich or salad as well. But did you know mayo is a lot more than just a nice sauce? We’ve got five weird mayo tricks for you today.

Who knew mayonnaise was this handy!

1. Remove paint stains

Did you accidentally drop a bit of paint on your tile floor or did you get it on a doorknob? Not to worry! Apply a bit of mayo to the paint stain before the paint dries and goes hard. The oil in the mayo attracts the oil in the paint, which means you can easily remove the paint and the mayo together with a cloth after the paint has absorbed the mayo.

2. Save your dinner

Want to make some delicious schnitzels but are you all out of eggs to create the breadcrumb layer with? Slather a thin layer of mayonnaise onto both sides of the schnitzel (or any other type of meat you want to give a breadcrumb coating) and then add the breadcrumbs. You won’t taste the difference!

3. Use it as a hair mask

Mayonnaise hydrates your hair and gives it a beautiful shine. Put a couple of tablespoons of mayo into a small bowl and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract; this will make the mixture smell much better immediately. Massage the mixture into your dry, unwashed hair and leave it to soak for 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes are up, wash your hair with shampoo and rinse it one extra time with cold water.
