These tips will come in especially handy after an all-you-can-eat buffet

Most of us don’t overeat at every meal, but we’re all pretty likely to feel stuffed after a visit to an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Have you eaten so much that you’re having trouble closing your fly and feel as if your stomach is about to explode? There’s no need to wait several hours for it to subside. These tips will help you feel less bloated!

Tea
Chances are you don’t feel like eating or drinking even the slightest bit after eating for what feels like 5 people, but try to sip from that cup of tea anyway. Sports nutritionist Beth McDonald recommends having a cup of decaf chicory root tea. This will calm down your stomach and helps your digestion. Don’t like the taste of chicory root tea? You can also go for chamomile; it has the same effect.

Peppermint
Have you ever noticed that a lot of restaurants have a bowl of mints sitting next to their register? That can’t be a coincidence. Of course, it’s partly to neutralise those garlic fumes, but peppermint also has a relaxing effect on your digestion and helps against nausea.

Walk
If you’re feeling stuffed to the brim, try to motivate yourself to move around for a bit. Having a short walk after dinner stimulates a healthy digestion. Plus, you can also prevent heartburn by walking around.
