Troubled by ants in your garden or even in your home? These tricks work!

Cinnamon

Ants have an excellent sense of smell and greatly dislike the smell of cinnamon. Add half a teaspoon of cinnamon oil to a cup of water. Drench a cotton ball in it and use it to smear areas where ants live. Repeat this procedure until the ants are gone. Place whole cinnamon sticks outside, especially near the door, on windowsills and other entrances. You can also put the cinnamon oil in a spray bottle and attack the ants wherever you find them.

Vinegar

They also hate vinegar. This is good news because this way we have an inexpensive repellent. Fill a spray can with equal parts water and vinegar. Add a little fragrance oil, such as lemon, this is another scent that ants cannot tolerate. Shake well before use and then spray well on all possible entry points. Do this once a day until the ants are completely gone.

Borax

Borax is a natural mineral used in most pesticides. Borax is sold in powder form or as a colorless crystal salt. You buy it in some supermarkets and otherwise at the drugstore or pharmacist. All you need is a cup of warm water, half a cup of sugar, two tablespoons of Borax and balls of cotton wool. Mix all the ingredients together and dip the cotton balls into the Borax mixture. Then you can place the balls wherever you want, such as along the edges of doors where ants often walk in.
