This is how you easily clean your baking tray

You only need two ingredients!

A baking tray with burned food or debris stuck to it is bad news. Because that means endlessly trying to clean it without success. But there are ways to clean your baking tray. And it turns out to be pretty easy! All you need are two ingredients and a little bit of elbow grease. Let’s get to it!

Necessities

Just like we promised: you only need two ingredients to get this job done. You can clean your baking tray or griddle with baking soda and white wine vinegar. And chances are that you already have these two ingredients at home!

Method

Mix half a cup of baking soda with some warm water and a little bit of white wine vinegar. Then, put your baking sheet in your sink (if it fits) or some other place where you can leave it flat. Put the mixture of water, baking soda and white wine vinegar inside and around the baking tray (make sure that the sink has some kind of plug in it so the mixture won’t go down the drain right away). Let is sit for an hour and scrub the tray with a steel wool pad or a sponge. All the scraps of burnt food will disappear and your baking tray will look brand new again!

Rust

Just make sure that you rinse and dry your griddle or tray right away. That way, rust won’t get a chance to form. And a great bonus is that the mixture of baking soda and vinegar will also help clean the drain of your sink. That’s a win-win! Now, your baking sheet is ready to be used again. And if you want to make sure you won’t have to do this much work again in the future, use some parchment paper when you bake things.
