Luckily, there’s a handy trick that’ll make cleaning your oven rack one of the easiest things in the world!

Oven racks

A delicious casserole, some hot buns or a crispy pizza; most of us eat at least one of these yummy things every now and again. Using an oven is super handy and easy, but you cannot avoid making it dirty in the process. The oven racks usually bear the brunt of it and need to be cleaned regularly. Thanks to the tip we’ve got for you today, it will be very easy to turn your oven rack back into it’s shiny, clean self.

This is what you need to do

Put a towel at the bottom of your bath tub. If you don’t have a bathtub, you can also use the bottom of your shower cabin, but do make sure it’s big enough. Then, put the oven rack on top of the towel and put in the drain stopper. Fill the bathtub with water until the oven rack is completely underwater and add half a cup of dish soap or laundry detergent. You can also use baking soda for this trick. Let the soap dissolve by stirring the water. Let the oven rack soak for about four hours. Once this time has passed, take out the rack and use a sponge to easily scrub away the remaining dirt. The result? Your oven rack will look as good as new!
