Jimmy Kimmel has been presenting his own late night show since 2003, Jimmy Kimmel Live! So he has been in the spotlight for quite a while. Someone who also occasionally appears on the show – and has been part of the crew from the beginning – is Jimmy’s wife Molly. What does she actually look like? We’ve snapped some photos of her for you.
Long-running show
Many Dutch people know Jimmy Kimmel mainly from a recurring Halloween segment on his show. In it, parents are tasked with telling their children that they have eaten all the Halloween candy. They film the children’s reactions, which in many cases produces hilarious footage. Jimmy’s team chooses a few, which make it to the broadcast of the late night show. Laughter howls, every year.
So Jimmy’s show has been running for quite a long time. From the beginning, Jimmy’s wife, Molly McNearny, has been working on the show (although they were not a couple at the time). She joined the team in 2003 as a writing assistant and now has quite a bit of experience in the showbiz world. Among other things, she helped write scripts for the Oscars and the Emmys when Jimmy hosted them. In addition, she has played roles in the films Fun Mom Dinner and Dumplin’. She is also well-connected, as she can count Jennifer Aniston as one of her best friends.
Insult
Shortly after Molly took the job at Jimmy’s show, she was introduced to him. He immediately insulted her by saying that triathlons are a waste of time. Now let Molly be a huge fan of such races…. It stayed there for a time, too, as Molly and Jimmy had no direct contact while working. “It was probably the first and only thing he said to me during my first year there,” Molly said.
Love goes through the stomach
After a while, it appeared that Jimmy was into Molly. She, however, was in for nothing. “I had never even looked at him like that. Workplace 101: you don’t enter into a relationship with your boss,” Molly said. Still, he managed to win her heart, and he did so by cooking elaborately for her. He had asked everyone at a meeting about their favorite foods and later asked Molly if she wanted to come to his place for dinner. There he made no fewer than five of her favorite dishes. “I came in and saw pizza, a burger, crab legs, a cheeseburger and gnocchi. He had made everything all by himself. I couldn’t believe it and only then realized how generous and thoughtful he actually was.”
