Music Career
Although at 26 years old, Dua Lipa is only at the beginning of her music career, she is scoring hit after hit. The British singer broke through in 2015 with the first single she ever wrote: New Love. Two months later, her second single ‘Be The One‘ followed, which managed to take her to the top 5 of the charts. This was followed by popular songs such as Scared To Be Lonely, New Rules and Break My Heart.
In those seven years, Dua has been the recipient of many awards. For example, she has three Grammys, five BRIT Awards and one American Music Award sitting at home in her closet. However, it does not seem that fame is going to the handsome singer’s head. In fact, Dua is a true family man and keeps both feet on the ground because of her family. Dukagjin Lipa
Dua Lipa’s father, Dukagjin Lipa, is originally from Albania and Kosovo. In 1992, he fled to London to escape the Bosnian Civil War. The 53-year-old father lived in London for a while, but when Dua was 11, he returned to Kosovo. Why? Dukagjin is part of the Kosovo band Oda and performs regularly there. So now we know where Dua gets her musical talent from!
