Family Takes Vacation Photo — They Get Goosebumps Looking at This One!

Claire transferred the original photographs to David’s laptop. “These should have more detail,” he said. She opened the first image showing the colored mark and enlarged the cliff. The bright area now seemed to have edges and folds. Claire pointed at the screen. “That is not a bush.” David leaned closer. “No. It looks like fabric.”

She enlarged it again. Thin dark lines seemed to run away from the material. “What are those?” Claire asked. David stared. “Could be cracks in the rock.” She counted them. “Four cracks all coming from the same place?” David did not answer. Below the bright fabric was a darker object pressed against the cliff.

Claire increased the image size again. The picture became rough, but the darker shape was easier to understand. “Is that a bag?” David asked. Claire moved closer. “I do not think so.” He adjusted the brightness. A lighter shape appeared beside it. David stopped moving the mouse. “Claire.” She stared at the screen. “Zoom again.” “It will get blurry.” “Just do it.” He enlarged the image one final step. They both froze. Claire pointed at a shape against the rock. “No!” David swallowed. “Looks like we need help,” he said with a tremor in his voice.
