Cat Kept Bringing Home Wet Dollar Bills, Then the Owner Decided to Follow It…

The courier’s head snapped toward the bush. "Who's out there?!" Realizing his cover was completely blown, Richard scrambled to his feet and sprinted into the open yard. But the courier was faster. The man charged out of the shadows, diving forward and tackling Richard to the wet grass from behind.

The wind blew out of Richard’s lungs as he hit the turf. The courier pinned him down, grabbing him by the collar and raising the heavy steel tire iron above his head. "Where is the rest of it?" the courier snarled, his voice shaking with rage. "You've been skimming my drop all week! Where's the rest of the cash?!"

Richard’s chest heaved. His phone had slipped out of reach in the wet grass, and the cold metal hovered inches from his face. He shut his eyes, bracing for the blow, convinced it was over. And that's when they heard it.
