Clean the barbecue grill

Did you succeed in lighting the barbecue and did you make full use of it? Then often the most annoying job remains: cleaning the barbecue. The grate in particular can often be a stubborn cleaning job. A handy way to easily clean the grid is to use half an onion. Cut a whole onion in half and use the flat side to rub the grate. Thanks to the juices that are released, baked-on food residues are easy to remove. Does the extra-stubborn dirt remain? If so, then spray the grid with some lemon juice or vinegar, let it soak for a short while and wipe it clean with a (scouring) sponge.
