Build a Double-Decker Organizer When Cabinets Get Crowded
Sometimes the problem isn't a lack of cabinet space. It's the fact that you're only using one level of it. If there's empty vertical space above your bathroom supplies, a simple DIY organizer can turn that unused area into another storage tier. The project starts with two white wire baskets and a paper towel holder. The holder forms the central support while the baskets are modified and secured into place with zip ties.
The middle sections of the baskets can be removed so the structure fits together properly. After everything is aligned and reinforced, a coat of spray paint can give the finished organizer a more polished appearance. The result is essentially a compact double-decker storage unit. Instead of stacking bottles on top of one another or pushing everything toward the back of a cabinet, you gain separate levels where different items can be kept.
This is especially useful in cabinets where the shelves are tall but the items you're storing are relatively short. Before deciding you need a larger cabinet, take a look at the empty space above everything you already own. That unused vertical space could be your easiest storage upgrade.
