Turn Old Jars Into High-End Storage Containers
Bathroom storage containers don't have to come from a specialty store. In fact, some of the most useful ones might already be sitting in your recycling bin. Old glass jars can be cleaned thoroughly and transformed into decorative storage containers with just a few inexpensive additions.
Start with clean jars and add a small wooden knob to the top of each lid. Then attach the bottom of each jar to a small candle holder, creating a raised pedestal underneath. Once the pieces are securely attached, spray-paint the lids and candle holders so everything has a consistent finish. The result is a set of elevated containers that can hold bathroom essentials while also looking decorative enough to leave on display.
The raised design makes the jars feel more like intentional bathroom accessories than ordinary containers, and the clear glass means you can still see what's inside. You could use them for small everyday essentials that tend to create countertop clutter. It's a particularly useful trick if you like the look of coordinated bathroom storage but don't want to spend much money buying an entire matching set.
