5. Tea

You already knew about this one of course. But we can’t say it enough: staying hydrated is very important to combat a sore throat. The wonderful thing about tea is that you can mix calming or anti-inflammatory substances through it. Try, for example, ginger, cinnamon, mint, camomile, sage, licorice or rosemary.

6. Oatmeal

A warm bowl of oatmeal is easy to eat and is rich in antioxidants, zinc, and magnesium. Additionally, oatmeal is easy to combine with a lot of different healthy things. Try some mashed banana for example for a little bit of extra vitamin C. Top off your bowl of oatmeal with some honey, cinnamon and a bit of ginger, Super healthy!

7. Spices

Turmeric, ginger and cinnamon work miracles for your throat. As we already mentioned, these spices have a relaxing and anti-inflammatory effect. So get to the supermarket and hoard these spices! Put these wonderful spices through your oatmeal, tea, smoothie or popsicles. You’ll see it really helps!

8. Honey

Honey is known for its soothing properties. But that’s not all! This soothing substance also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Luckily, honey tastes great, which makes it a nice addition to your tea or smoothie. You can, of course, also just eat a spoonful of honey just like that. It will work miracles.
