Hello there! This is Dua Lipa’s handsome father

Good genes

In addition to musical genes, Dua Lipa has clearly also inherited her handsome father’s looks. On Instagram, Dukagjin regularly shares sweet snaps of him and his daughter, in which the resemblances are all too visible. The apple clearly does not fall far from the tree in the Lipa family.

Family

Now, of course, you’re wondering if Dukagjin is already engaged, and (unfortunately) he is. The rock star has been married to Dua Lipa’s mother, Anesa Lipa, since 1995. Anesa is also originally from Kosovo, with a Kosovo father and a Bosnian mother. Together with Dukagjin, she fled to London in 1992, where she built a new life for her family. In addition to Dua, Anesa and Dukagjin have two other children, Rina Lipa and Gjin Lipa, who also frequently appear on Dukagjin’s Instagram feed.

Hard workers

Dukagjin and Anesa have not had an easy life. Although both received a good education in Kosovo (he studied dentistry, she law), their lives were turned upside down when they had to flee their country. In London, they grabbed all the work they could, which often meant working as waiters and waitresses in restaurants and cafes. Later, Dukagjin took business courses, while Anesa studied tourism.

“Every day of my life I see my parents working,” Dua previously told The Guardian, where she was asked if she truly believes in her mantra ‘follow your dreams/magic is real’ . “When I went to school, they went to school too (…) My father always told me, ‘You have to work very, very hard, but you also have to have a little luck sometimes.’ So I believe in the romantic side of it, but I also believe you have to work hard for it.”
