Smart move: Meghan Markle always wears shoes that are too big for her feet to avoid blisters

Blisters

A pair of high heels can look very beautiful, but they can also be quite painful for your feet. Before you know it you’ve got painful blisters. Meghan Markle knows how to get around this issue, though, and her solution is wearing shoes that are too big. According to fashion expert Harriet Davey it’s not uncommon for celebrities to wear shoes that are too big. It sounds strange, but it does work.

Tissues and cotton balls

Harriet Davey spoke to The Sun about this, saying: “Celebs often go a size up, or even two” and apparently they do this to avoid blisters on their feet. It’s a pretty smart move, but we have one burning question: how do these celebs manage to walk in their shoes without them coming off? We have trouble keeping pumps that are the right size on our feet properly! It’s very simple: tissues. “The trick of the trade is to stuff the toe with padding like tissue or cotton wool.” Then, when your feet start to swell up (which is bound to happen if you walk in heels for a longer period of time), you can take them out and your feet will have more room. This is how Meghan prevents her feet from getting blisters. Pretty nifty, right?
