8 Stunning Stories Of Animals Who Took Revenge On Humans

Leopard attacks park ranger after he pokes her with a stick

That you shouldn’t just poke a leopard with a stick is proven by this story from Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya. A leopard was causing commotion as it attacked and ate the locals’ livestock. The locals contacted park rangers and they in turn tracked down the leopard. They managed to catch her, put her in a cage and put her on their wagon. When they wanted to let her out again, the animal refused on her own. The solution of one of the rangers? Poking her with a stick, to lure her out. Not the best decision maybe….

From the wagon, the ranger pushed against the animal with a stick. She did not appreciate that at all. She became aggressive and bit the stick first. However, the goal was achieved: she got out of the cage. Only she did not run towards her freedom, but jumped into the open window of the car. She managed to injure the ranger with her claws and tried to bite his neck. Meanwhile, she tried to climb further into the truck, but the ranger managed to get the animal out the window by pushing her away with his feet. The ranger needed 21 stitches for his injuries, but fortunately can still recount the story.

Crows recognize researchers examining them and attack them

We know that elephants have a good memory, but did you know the same is true for crows?

For a study, researchers applied identification bands to some crows. And this the crows did not like at all. The crows were released into their territory, but when the researchers came here, the birds appeared to recognize them. In fact, they appeared to hold quite a strong grudge. They started crowing loudly and flew at them to scare them away. To prove that crows can actually hold a grudge, the researchers began wearing special masks when they applied the identification bands. Over time, the researchers visited the crows. Again they wore the mask. The crows did not appear to have forgotten the faces (after a year!). Once again, the birds made a lot of noise.
