Career
Matthew is still best known for his role as Chandler in Friends. After his time on Friends, he played many other roles in films and series, but none managed to match the success of Friends. His acting career has been stalled for a while. From 2015 to 2017, he played Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple, and in 2017 he was seen in a few episodes of both The Good Fight and The Kennedys After Camelot, but his resume has not expanded ever since.
Love life
Matthew’s private life is turbulent. From 1995 to 2012, he had various relationships, including with actresses Yasmine Bleeth, Julia Roberts and Lizzy Caplan. Currently, it seems the actor is going through life as a bachelor.
Addiction and health problems
In 1997, the actor was in rehab for 28 days for his addiction to pain relievers. Things seemed to go well after that, but he was re-admitted in 2001 for his addiction to pain relievers, methadone and alcohol. Unfortunately, it does not seem to end there. The actor was spotted by paparazzi at the end of August this year while roaming the streets of New York. According to various sources, he looked unkempt and according to his closest companions the actor is drinking again. He would also not want to leave his hotel room. He only does this when he has to go to the hospital, something that happens more often according to trusted sources. He’s no stranger to this struggle. A while ago Matthew turned out to have a gastrointestinal perforation. This condition creates a hole in the stomach or intestine and may have been caused by excessive alcohol consumption, which further fuels the rumors of alleged alcohol abuse.
