Boaters Spot Something Disturbing in A Lake — Call Police After Seeing What It Is…

Mark restarted the engine before the boat drifted closer. He had visited Lake Mead since childhood and knew the water hid many things. The shrinking shoreline had exposed boats, tools, docks, and belongings left behind decades earlier. Some discoveries had brought investigators. Others had produced explanations nobody expected.

“We should call someone,” Jenna said. Mark looked again at the dark shape. From this distance, it could have been rolled carpet or a bundle of ruined camping gear. Yet its length and position bothered him. It did not seem to be rippling, and something about it was unsettling. “Let us check once more,” he said. “From farther out.”

Jenna disliked the idea, but agreed. Mark guided the boat into deeper water and made a wide turn. Neither spoke as they approached the cove again. The object remained visible through the sunlit surface, wrong enough to hold their attention. Jenna picked up her phone, although there was no signal near the rocks. “If that is what we think it might be, we cannot leave,” she said. Mark nodded. Ahead, a dark line ran from the shape toward a patch of mud and vanished beneath it.
