Ranger Investigates Animals Acting Strange on His Patrol – The Second He Realizes What It Means, He Tells Everyone to Run

The three rangers spread out and slowly coaxed the panicked herd toward the nearby wooden timber barn. It took twenty minutes of careful herding, but they finally got the sheep inside the structure and secured the wooden gate. Even inside the sheltered barn, the sheep remained tightly bunched together, stamping their hooves and breathing heavily, refusing to settle down.

Mark leaned against the wooden gate, shaking his head. He turned to Davis, who had been working the park for over fifteen years. "Have you ever seen anything like this before, Davis?" Davis looked at the trembling animals and shook his head softly.

"Never. If a bear had spooked them, they’d have scattered across the ridge hours ago. Running in circles like this? It's like they don't know where the threat is coming from." Mark looked out the open barn door toward the meadow, a nagging feeling telling him they were missing something obvious.
