David rushed across the room and slammed his hand onto the wall telephone, frantically ringing the front desk to report an apex predator on the grounds. Within moments, shouts rang out across the resort property as resort staff bolted out with flashing lights and flaming torches.
The peaceful courtyard erupted into utter chaos. Workers screamed loudly and waved their arms in the air, trying to drive the massive cat back into the surrounding wilderness. But instead of fleeing the flames, the lion growled viciously, lashing its tail side to side and stubbornly refusing to back down from the crowd.
As the beast cut terrifyingly close to their front porch steps, David grabbed Sarah and the kids by their shoulders. "Upstairs, right now!" he ordered in a firm voice, shoving them quickly up the steps to lock themselves safely inside the top-floor master bedroom.
