Unlike most replica builders who begin with pre-made body panels, Ken started with little more than flat sheets of aluminum. Every curve, crease, and sharp angle would have to be created from scratch. Using an English wheel and a collection of handmade wooden forms, he slowly shaped each panel by eye. It was painstaking work. A single mistake could mean hours—or even days—of starting over. Every piece had to match perfectly before being welded together into larger sections.
As the months turned into years, recognizable parts of the Countach slowly began appearing. The dramatic rear fenders, the sharply angled nose, and the unmistakable side panels gradually took shape. Friends who stopped by couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The project looked less like a hobby and more like something being built inside an automotive design studio.
But the beautiful bodywork was only the beginning. The real engineering challenge still lay ahead.
