Farmhand Spots His Boss Dragging Something At Midnight, But What He Did Next Made Him Dial 911

"We need to get back to the house and secure the doors," Raymond urged, keeping his hunting rifle pointed toward the dark woods. Before Eli could even step forward, two heavy bodies exploded out of the thick brush behind them! The thieves hadn't retreated into the woods—they had circled around in the dark to ambush them.

The larger man tackled Raymond hard from behind, sending the old farmer crashing into the mud. The hunting rifle flew from Raymond's hands, clattering loudly across the frozen gravel driveway. "The gun!" Raymond yelled, struggling in the slush. Eli lunged across the dirt, diving toward the fallen firearm with everything he had. His fingers brushed the cold steel barrel, but the second masked thief was faster.

The man stomped heavily on Eli’s hand, kicking the rifle away before scooping it up and racking the bolt. Eli gasped in pain, pulling his bruised hand back as the gunman pointed the double barrel directly at them both. "End of the line, old man."
