Homeowner Thought He Found a Wasp’s Nest, But What Was Really Lurking In The Barn Was Much Worse

Before he could summon the courage to move closer, a sudden, crunching sound echoed from the deep snow just outside the shattered wall planks. Calvin instantly cut his flashlight power, plunging himself into absolute darkness. 

He froze in place near the door, holding his breath. Through the howling wind, he heard a slow, drag plunging into the soft snowpack right outside the gap. Something was lurking right outside the broken wall. It wasn't a raccoon or a stray dog. Whatever was out there shifted the snow slowly, aware of Calvin’s presence. 

Calvin couldn't see a thing in the pitch black, but primal dread told him he was in immediate danger. Squeezing back through the sliding door, Calvin sprinted blindly through the storm back to the house.
