Our first secret weapon is The Speedy Scan. After every outdoor adventure, or at least once a day, give your dog a thorough once-over. Ticks love to hide in sneaky spots, and catching them early is crucial.
Gently run your hands all over your dog’s body, feeling for small bumps. Pay extra attention to their ears (inside and out!), under the collar, between their toes, in their armpits, and around the groin. These are tick hotspots!
Most ticks take hours to properly attach and start feeding. Catching them early with a quick scan means you can often remove them before they even bite! Make it a loving ritual; your dog might even enjoy the extra pets.
