The inside of this home made out of sea containers is extraordinary!

Frank Jackson, a man from California, has built a very special house out of four sea containers that cost only 3000 dollar per container. What he made out of them is absolutely beautiful. We’d definitely like a home like this, how about you?

Creativity

As a general contractor, Frank Jackson makes a nice living out of building condos and traditional wood townhouses. Unfortunately, building these types of houses didn’t provide him with enough of a creative challenge, because the jobs often came with limited money and safe, everyday designs. So, when it came to designing and building his own house, he didn’t choose the safe option. Instead, he picked a very special and modern approach to his new home.

Challenge

Frank decided to design a home based on metal sea containers. With this decision he didn’t exactly choose the easiest route. In fact, he encountered a lot of obstacles during the process. For example, it was very difficult to find an engineer who had the resources and capabilities to cut through the sea containers and to install doors and windows in them. he was rejected by four different engineers before finding one that was willing to work with his. Luckily, he did find someone who dared to take on the project in the end. And the result is amazing! his home turned out absolutely beautiful and it’s eco-friendly as well.
