What is your ultimate tip against an itchy mosquito bite?

We’re enjoying the hot weather immensely and are trying our best to get ourselves a bit of a tan at the moment. Unfortunately, the summer season also has a few downsides. Our least favourite part of summer is definitely those extremely annoying mosquitos and other insects. As if their buzzing isn’t annoying enough, their itchy bites regularly keep us up at night.

These things will help against the itch!

Mosquito bites

Everyone’s been there at some point. You wake up in the morning only to immediately find out you’ve got a bunch of new mosquito bites on your body. Great. Feeling frustrated, you scratch the bites to relieve the itch and before you know it you’ve scratched them open. Great again. Luckily, there are a couple of tricks that will help you get rid of this itchy problem in the future.

Baking soda

Baking soda is one of those products you should really always have in your cupboard. You can use it for so many different things! It can also help to relieve this annoying itch. Put a spoonful of baking soda in a small bowl and add just enough water to make it into a paste. Generously rub this paste onto your mosquito bite and leave it to sit for about 15 minutes. Rinse it off and the itch is gone!

Lemon or lime juice

Many acids can help to relieve an itch, and the juice of a lemon or of a lime is no exception to this. Plus, it will help prevent infections as well. Rub a bit of juice onto the bite and the itch will be a lot less bad very quickly. Do make sure you only use this trick when you’re staying inside. If you rub your skin with the juice and then go out into the sun, there’s a pretty big chance your skin will dry out.
