4. When you’re exercising intensely

When you sweat, you lose sodium and potassium. Both of these are very important, which means you need to replenish them. You won’t find them in regular tap water or spring water, though. Luckily, the wonder of coconut water exists: it contains everything you need after an intense workout. You could also drink mineral water, because this contains more salt than spring water.

5. When it’s sweetened

Sure, regular water can be a bit boring. But when you add all kinds of flavours you run the risk of actually consuming a lot more sugar than you want. Every bottle of flavoured water you can buy in the supermarket has gotten that particular flavour through the use of sugar or sweeteners. So, before you buy anything, you should always read the label.
