Thankfully, Dylan’s mom didn’t seem to realize a thing. Weeks had gone by without her saying anything about the missing money. One day, Dylan’s mom decided to bring something else up: Dylan’s birthday. This important day was coming up and she was curious to know what he wanted. 

Dylan had already thought about it but hadn’t made any decisions. Did he want a new video game? A watch? Money? He didn’t even consider the fact that she had given him a lot of money, albeit without her consent.
