Special salute
When the rescued elephant had joined its group, the animal’s mother gave the Kerala residents a special salute. She greeted her baby’s heroic rescuers with a salute from her trunk. This was captured in a special video, which has already been viewed thousands of times.
Typical elephant behavior
For the skeptics, the video’s sharer Parveen Kaswan has a clear explanation ready: “The behavior is typical of elephants. They try to rescue alone at first, but if that doesn’t work, they leave the room and stand far away to get help from people.”
