Sarah braced herself to see Elena browsing through her dresses or opening jewelry drawers. Instead, the video feed showed something that looked incredibly fishy. Elena walked into the center of the closet, gently closed the door, and walked straight over to Sarah’s personal bedside vanity drawer. She slowly pulled it open and reached deep to the back, pulling out an old, leather-bound book.
Sarah’s heart sank. Elena had actively hunted for that private book. But rather than pocketing anything, Elena sat down on the ottoman, opened the pages, and began to read intently. She seemed completely consumed by the words, flipping through the pages as if searching for a specific entry.
