Chelsy came to an important realisation
When you look at Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, it’s clear that they love each other very much. It would almost make you forget that both have been in long-term relationships before. Prince Harry was in an on-again/off-again relationship with Chelsy Davy for seven years. However, this relationship came to a definite end after Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.
Now we know why Chelsy broke off the relationship after Kate and William’s wedding.
Chelsy Davy and Prince Harry met each other in 2004 when they went to the same school. The two started dating, but things didn’t exactly run smoothly between them. They broke up multiple times only to get back together again later. This on-again/off-again relationship came to a permanent end very soon after Kate and William’s wedding. That’s because Chelsy came to a few realisations during that same wedding.
Harry and Chelsy weren’t officially together on the day William and Kate said ‘I do’ to each other. It’s been said that Harry asked Chelsy to his brother’s wedding with the hope of reviving their relationship again. However, during this same day, Chelsy realised Harry couldn’t be the one for her.
Journalist Angela Levin recently wrote a book called Harry: Conversations with the Prince, in which she revealed something pretty big: “A friend [of the royal family] revealed that seeing the enormity and pomp of the day convinced Chelsy that she and Harry had been right to separate.” The royal wedding was watched all over the world and this level of attention made Chelsy realise that being a member of the royal family wasn’t for her. “Although they had a lot in common, she clearly saw that because they came from such different worlds it could never have worked, especially as she valued her privacy and guarded it so carefully,” the journalist stated.
