The plainclothes officers ignored his shouts, twisting Daniel’s arms behind his back and forcing him down toward the polished terminal floor. Seeing him physically subdued, Chloe collapsed to her knees right in front of Sandra, completely consumed by terror. Her eyes filled with instant, frantic tears as her entire body began to tremble violently. She pointed a shaking finger at the struggling man, her voice cracking with pure desperation.
“Oh my god, thank you! Please save me from him!” Chloe sobbed hysterically, her voice echoing across the terminal pavilion. “He’s the one! He’s been stalking me since London! He’s trying to kidnap me! Look at the note I gave the flight attendant!”
Sandra felt a massive surge of protective triumph, stepping forward to shield the weeping girl from the commotion. But before Sandra could even utter a word of comfort, the second team of four uniformed Port Authority police officers marched aggressively past the plainclothes unit, moving with absolute purpose as they closed a tight physical circle around Chloe instead.
