“I bought a last-minute First-Class standby ticket at Heathrow,” Daniel explained, running a tired hand through his hair. “But when I saw her board the economy cabin, I followed her down the aisle. I found the passenger sitting in 14A, whipped out my wallet, and offered him my ticket in exchange for his cramped seat.”
“No traveler turns down a free upgrade to First Class on a nine-hour flight,” Daniel continued, a tired smile finally breaking through his exhaustion. “She had absolutely no idea I was on the aircraft until I sat down right next to her. I had to physically stay on her tail to make sure she didn’t dump the stolen goods mid-flight or run away later.”
“Why didn’t you just call the police in London?” Sandra whispered, completely humbled. “My wife did,” Daniel replied. “But if I had waited at Heathrow for local cops to file a report and secure an international warrant, she would have landed in New York and vanished before the paperwork ever cleared the system.”
