The kitchen needed an upgrade too. The original setup had barely enough space for preparing a simple snack, let alone cooking for a whole family. So the couple installed a small but properly organized kitchen along one wall.

There were compact cabinets underneath the counter, open shelves above it and just enough room for the appliances they actually needed. A small table was positioned nearby, but even that had a trick. It could be folded away when the family needed more floor space.
