Tiger Keeps Growling When He Sees This Little Girl – Then They Discover the Sad Reason

A year passed, and little Lily grew into a bright, talkative young girl who could speak in full, clear sentences. After finishing another afternoon play session by the sanctuary glass, she took her mother’s hand in one side and her father’s in the other, smiling up at them with total certainty.

"Mommy, Daddy, when I grow up, I'm going to work right here," Lily declared proudly, pointing her small finger toward Rajah, who was watching her peacefully from his favorite spot near the window. "I'm going to be a real zookeeper and take care of Rajah every single day."

The sanctuary staff lovingly nicknamed Lily "The Tiger Whisperer," and as the years went on, she spent much of her childhood learning all about animal care and conservation from Dr. Redfern. But no matter how many animals she helped over the years, her bond with the gentle tiger who picked her out of a crowd remained the most special connection of all.
