The violent impact instantly shattered the pirate boat’s propeller, ripping the engine clean off its mounts and sending it sinking into the ocean. The disabled skiff veered wildly sideways, completely dead in the water.
However, the severe jolt sent a massive shockwave up the anchor line, warping the sailboat’s steering rudder and jamming the heavy line tight against the hull. The sailboat instantly lost its momentum, its speed dropping rapidly as the sails lost their shape. The final, remaining pirate boat swerves around its disabled partners, its engine screaming as the final attackers moved in for revenge, completely enraged by the destruction of their partners’ vessels. There was no more time for clever tricks; the sailboat was now a completely helpless sitting duck.
