Staff Freeze In Horror When A Pit Bull Walks Into The Hospital Carrying This…

“Stop! You can’t take her!” Elena screamed, her voice tearing through the humid air of the ambulance bay. She threw her body directly in front of the driver’s side door, her fingers clawing at the rain-slicked metal handle. “I know who you are, Douglas! The police know! They are on their way right now!”

Douglas didn’t flinch. A cold, arrogant smile spread across his face, his eyes turning entirely dead as he stepped close, using his height to crowd Elena against the car frame. The charming “grieving father” from the lobby had vanished, replaced by something sharp and predatory. “The nearest station is twenty minutes away in this storm, nurse,” he whispered, his breath hot against her face.

“By the time they mobilize a unit through this flooding, I’ll be three counties over. They won’t make it. Now get away from my car before I make you.”  He didn’t wait for her to move. He shoved Elena backward with a violent, practiced force that sent her sprawling onto the wet asphalt. Before she could even regain her breath, Douglas slammed his door, the locks clicking shut with a finality that sounded like a prison cell closing.
