Fisherman Thought He Caught An Orange Shark — Expert Turns Pale When He Notices This

Equipped with a dive mask, snorkel, and bolt cutters, Mike slipped into the pitch-black water. Swimming down to the ledge, he found the orange sturgeon hovering groggily. Mike grabbed the tail fin and aligned the heavy bolt cutters against the hardened steel clamp, but the rusted tools couldn't bite through the alloy. He tried prying the mechanism with his hands, but it refused to budge.

Realizing he needed heavier tools from the boat, Mike swam back toward the surface. As his eyes broke the water, a harsh spotlight blinded him. Two armed poachers had boarded Robert's vessel, holding the scientist hostage on the deck.

Heart racing, Mike submerged himself back into the shadow of the hull, treading water silently with just his snorkel tip clearing the swells. Trapped in the dark, Mike knew surfacing meant capture. Desperate, he felt along the hull, swam under the poachers' idling boat, and used his dive knife to sever the hydraulic steering cable above their propeller.
