A K9 Refused To Follow Orders – But What He Did Instead Made a Grown Man Cry

Noah slammed the cruiser into park near the plaza archway and hit the electronic latch for the K9 cage. The door swung open, and Axel hit the wet cobblestones like a dark lightning bolt, his hot breath misting in the chilly air. Up ahead, a tall, imposing figure was standing right near the edge of the central fountain.

Broad-shouldered, wearing a heavy dark jacket, the man had a harsh, intimidating scowl locked onto his face. Resting right at his combat-booted feet was a heavy black canvas duffel. There he is, Noah thought, adrenaline spiking through his system. He stopped to grab the drop bag.

Noah unholstered his weapon, stepping into the open plaza with a rigid, two-handed grip. “PPD! Don’t move! Hands up!” The broad-shouldered man didn't react. He didn't turn around, nor did he raise his hands. He just stood there over the bag, his jaw set in a rigid, menacing line.
