K9 Keeps Barking at Hay Bales… Officer Turns Pale When He Cuts One Open

Ryan and two secondary deputies swarmed the tree line, tackling Carl to the ground and securing him in double-locked handcuffs. Carl thrashed and spit, completely out of options. "Keep him secured in the cruiser!" Ryan ordered, gasping for air as he rushed back toward the smoking flatbed.

Duke was already back at the trailer, ignoring his own hard landing, his nose pressed furiously against the base of the center bales. Ryan and Sergeant Hayes drew their tactical knives and pry bars, leaping onto the flatbed. They frantically slashed through the heavy bindings and pried away the outer shell of real straw, exposing a massive, reinforced, dark-painted wooden vault built into the heart of the load.

As Ryan wedged his iron pry bar into the wooden seam, there were no shrieks or movements from inside—only an eerie, heavy silence. With a loud crack of tearing wood, the top panel shattered and tore away.
