"How do we do that if I can't ask him?" Claire demanded, her chest heaving with restrained emotion. "I can barely look at him without shaking." Emily reached into her desk drawer and slid a sleek black business card across the wood.
"You hire someone who answers questions for a living. This is Callum Riche. He’s discreet, thorough, and very good at tracking things people try to keep hidden." Claire picked up the card, running her thumb over the raised lettering. Riche Investigations.
"Callum will follow Daniel," Emily explained carefully. "He’ll track his movements, identify his contacts, and figure out where the money—and the house—is really going. If Daniel is hiding an affair, shifting assets, or planning a sudden departure, Callum will find the paper trail. But you must promise me, Claire: no emotional outbursts, no accusations. You have to play your part."
