When you get out of the shower and you feel fresh again, it is quite a damper if you have to dry yourself with a towel that has become very hard over time. You could almost scrub yourself with it – not quite what you want. When your towel is already hard, it is sometimes difficult to get it soft again. Prevention is therefore still better than a cure. Fortunately, with a handy trick you can prevent your towels from getting hard. Believe us, it requires very little effort!
Add vinegar
On the social media platform, TikTok, user Mama_Mila shared a handy trick to prevent towels from becoming hard. In her TikTok video, she explains that you should wash the towels at a temperature of 40 to 60° C. “Add liquid detergent and 120 milliliters of white vinegar instead of fabric softener,” she writes. “Vinegar breaks down the detergent residue, leaving the towels soft and fresh.”
