Do you have used plastic bottles at home? You will never guess what you can do with them!

Home made budget garden sprinkler

All you need to do for this trick is use a nail or a screw to punch some holes in a bottle of water. Do make sure that the side of the bottle that’s placed on the ground doesn’t have any holes in it. Your garden doesn’t benefit from the water leaking into the ground like that. Now, all that’s left to do is attach the garden hose to the mouth of the bottle and that’s it! You’ve got yourself a garden sprinkler!

Separating eggs

Are you always having trouble with separating eggs? Some recipes call for just the yolks of an egg or just the whites, which means you’ll have to separate the two from each other somehow. It can be a pretty messy job, but not when you use a plastic bottle. Break an egg onto a (deep) plate. Take the cap off the plastic bottle and squeeze the bottle a little bit. Then, still squeezing, place the mouth of the bottle onto the egg yolk and stop squeezing the bottle. This will cause the egg yolk to be sucked into the bottle, while the egg white remains behind. It’s so easy!

Wasp trap

Do you want to catch the wasps that are bothering you in your garden in a safe way? Catch them with a plastic bottle! Cut the bottle in half and then fill the bottom half of the bottle with a sweet syrup (like lemonade). Next, place the top half upside down into the bottom half, so the mouth of the bottle is facing downwards. The wasps will flock to the sweet stuff to have a snack, but they won’t be able to find their way out of the bottle again.
