2.Tingling sensation in your limbs
A second sign is waking up with an arm or leg that feels numb or “asleep.” Many people brush that off as normal, especially if they slept in a strange position. But this can be a clue that the suspension or support in your mattress is no longer doing its job properly. In simple terms, parts of the mattress may no longer be bouncing back the way they should. Sleep experts also point to sagging, body impressions, or damaged areas as common signs of a bad bed, because uneven support can create extra pressure on parts of your body while you sleep.
A quick way to think about it is this: your mattress should support your body evenly, not leave one shoulder, hip, or leg taking all the pressure. If you regularly wake up with tingling limbs, or you notice that one part of the mattress feels flatter, softer, or more “dead” than the rest, pay attention. There is a simple hand test to confirm this: press down on the mattress and see whether it springs back. If it does not recover well, that is a bad sign. If the mattress feels tired, flattened, or oddly unsupportive, your body may already be trying to tell you that something is wrong. What seems like a small morning annoyance can actually be one of the earliest signs that your mattress is no longer giving you the support you need through the night.
