Going on vacation or a trip can be very stressful. Especially when you have to think about the things you have to bring and the things you might need. While also keeping in mind the baggage allowances of every airline. But there are some ways to pack efficiently. Find out how to pack your suitcase without any issues.

Clothes

When you pack your suitcase, it can be hard to figure out how many items of clothing you will need. You don’t want to bring too much but you also don’t want to have too little options. Especially when traveling to a place where the weather is unpredictable. Luckily, there is a way to pack your clothes efficiently. According to the experts, you should first get out all the clothes you think you need or want to bring. After getting all of the clothes out, put half of them back. Kathleen Ameche, author of The Woman Road Warrior, told Real Simple that you only need five shirts and three pairs of bottoms for a five-day trip. So, always make sure you bring more tops than bottoms and make sure to pack only wrinkle-resistant items like knits, wools and cottons. These kinds of fabrics also tend to be versatile as you can use them in more ways than one.

And combine folding and rolling techniques. Softer pieces of clothing, like T-shirts, jeans, cotton pants, and knits can be rolled up while blazers, skirts and other stiff fabrics should be folded. When you stack your folded garments on top of your rolled ones and put longer items in the middle of the suitcase, you’ll save space for other items.

Shoes

Depending on how long you’re going away for, you want to stick to three pairs of shoes: a sandal, sneakers and an evening shoe. And when packing your shoes, make sure you use all the space in and around your shoes. Stuff them with socks or other items that fit in there. While traveling, always wear the pair that will take up the most space and pack the ones you’re not wearing at that moment. Always pack your shoes on the sides of your suitcase. That way, they won’t take up precious space in that you might need for other things.

With these tips, you’ll be able to pack efficiently and save yourself a lot of stress. That way, you can fully enjoy your vacation!
