Do the names Ava Marie and Leah Rose sound familiar? The twins went viral at a young age because of their good looks, and more specifically, their sparkling blue eyes. But what do they look like today? Let’s find out!

Everyone predicted: the twins would later work as models. Mother Jaqi Clement heard people say this on a regular basis. Even strangers on the street made comments like: "Wow, what beautiful girls. They should become models!”

Because of all these comments, mother Jaqi decided to look into modelling for children.

Weren't they far too young for a modelling career? Jaqi pondered.
Extremely busy
In addition to the the twins, mother Jaqi also had a two-year-old son to look after, so she was a busy mom. "Some days it was difficult even to get out of the door, so I soon gave up trying to get my daughters to do modelling. It just wasn't the right time."

A little more patience
Even though the sisters loved being on camera, the parents of the handsome duo were faced with a difficult dilemma. Were they ready to start modelling? The two were still toddlers, and too young to decide for themselves.
Since the twins couldn't express themselves yet, the parents decided to wait with letting them do modelling work. Mother Jaqi always believed in signs. Her lucky number, seven, would therefore play an important role in her decision making.
Number seven
The twins were born on the 7th of July (7-7). The girls' seventh birthday was approaching. The thought of them turning seven on July 7, 2017, got Jaqi thinking. Was this the sign she had been waiting for all this time?

The mother kept pondering, and she couldn’t help but think about the number seven . The twins didn't have a clue yet, but they were about to start their modeling career.
Were they ready for their first real job? Eventually, Mother Jaqi decided to share her decision with the twins.
Seven years old
When the twins were seven years old, they started to develop their own personalities. They were involved in various extracurricular activities, such as dancing and swimming. Mother Jaqi told them on their birthday that whenever they were ready, the girls could try modelling.

Full of enthusiasm
The girls reacted exactly as mother Jaqi had expected. "They started jumping and couldn't wait to get started!" According to the mother, the two had always been fond of being in the spotlights performing for their neighbours, family or friends.
The twins were looking forward to their new life, so they started straight away. A neighbour of Jaqi's had her own clothing boutique were the sisters could pose for. ”And they loved it," Jaqi recalls.

Young age
The girls were still young, but got more and more assignments. Jaqi wanted to take things slowly, as the twins were not used to wearing lots of make-up and overwhelming shoots. The sisters still had to practice a lot, as they had only little experience. They practised with their little brother in the garage.

Big step
Not much later, the two took a big step forward in their careers. From that moment on, everything just started to snowball. Curious to see what the twins next move was?
Their own agent
It was not long before the twins found their own agent. This agent had a large network that could help the girls become even more famous. Meanwhile, the twin sisters also became hugely popular on Instagram.
But the life of a model isn’t a stroll in the park.. Jaqi faced several challenges.
Balance
Jaqi was new to the modelling world, and she found it difficult to cope with everything that came with it. She wanted to protect her daughters and not let them take on too many assignments. They also had to deal with long working days. But that wasn’t all, either. The daughters also received some negative reactions on social media.
Sad faces
"They look sad," followers on social media often reacted to the pictures. Jaqi knew better and tried to ignore it. Her daughters were very happy, but in some photos they simply had to look at the camera in a 'neutral' way.
Followers of the twins also argued that the large amount of make-up was not good for their youthful skins. “It’s just part of the job," Jaqi explained.
