6. Bathtub Headrest
By the time Linda reached the bathroom, she was starting to look at every leftover piece of noodle differently. One problem had bothered her for years: the hard edge at the back of the bathtub. A folded towel made leaning back a little more comfortable, but it quickly became damp, slipped sideways, or ended up floating beside her.
Linda cut a section of noodle to fit the part of the tub where she rested her head and neck. She then made a slit along one side so the foam could open slightly and sit over the bathtub rim. The result was a simple padded edge that felt much softer than the hard surface underneath. When she was finished, she could remove it and leave it to dry.
This is a comfort idea, not a bathroom safety device. It should fit securely and never be allowed to create a slipping or tripping problem. Proper grab rails and non slip surfaces still matter greatly where needed. For Linda, though, it was the perfect final use for her accidental purchase. The giant box that had annoyed her had now supplied small fixes all over the house, and she was strangely glad it stayed.
