In 2020, Amazon’s shares went up by76%, increasing Jeff Bezos’ wealth by an incredible amount. Bezos owns 10% of Amazon’s shares and together those are worth $153 billion. His other assets include Blue Origin, which is worth $9.15 billion, The Washington Post ($250 million) and another $15.6 billion in cash. These assets combined lead to an astronomical net worth of $178 billion.
Let’s put that into perspective. With that amount of money, Bezos could make 177,000 people a millionaire and still be a billionaire himself. It’s an amount of money you can’t even begin to comprehend. As of February 2022, it makes Bezos the second richest man in the world, after Elon Musk.
